November 5, 2010

Dear youth and parents, As I send this e-news I'm working through my checklist to make sure I'm prepared for a weekend at camp. I'm excited about joining our middle school youth for the Chi Rho Fall Retreat at Disciples Crossing, and I'm looking forward to a fun and spiritually enriching weekend at a place that's meaningful for me and so many others. I'll look forward to seeing many of you at The Search, snack supper, and youth groups after we return on Sunday afternoon.
Grace and Peace, Russ

Our regular Sunday programming for youth in grades 6-8 (Sunday school classes, youth groups) will still meet as usual.
Retreat participants: Remember to meet at UCC at 5:30 p.m. to load the bus for camp, and be sure to eat dinner before you arrive!

Keep up with UCC Youth on Facebook and Twitter
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We're continuing to roll out new ways to keep up with youth happenings here at UCC, and there are several more to share this week. After introducing our new Google calendar to make it easier to keep up with events over the course of the year, we now have several social media options to help you stay connected: Click here to visit the UCC Youth page on Facebook, and click "Like" to start seeing pictures, info, and events in your news feed. This "fan page" is also a great way to introduce our youth ministry to others, so feel free to use the "Suggest to Friends" link to, well, suggest it to friends.
We also have two new Facebook groups that can send news and event invitations to you much more directly than the "fan page." Click here to visit and join the Chi Rho group for grades 6-8, or click here for the CYF group for grades 9-12.
Click here to visit our Twitter feed, and be sure to follow UCC_Youth to get short reminders and links to the e-news and other relevant content. If you're somewhat Twitter savvy, you can "re-tweet" things from UCC Youth that you'd like to share with others.
