Dear youth and parents, We had a wonderful time on last weekend's Back-to-School Retreat, where 50 youth and 10 adult sponsors focused on Christian hospitality and explored ways to make our church a more welcoming place. 16 of our new 6th graders were able to participate in the event, and it was great to see our newest youth welcomed and included by the "veteran" youth of our church. A retreat together was an excellent way to set the tone for this new school year, and I'm excited about our kickoff events coming up this Sunday morning and evening. Read more about those below, and click here to download the flyer that mailed this week if you'd like an electronic copy to share with others who want to get involved this weekend! Also, watch for some exciting news about our search for a new Assistant Minister for Chi Rho. I'll be sending a special e-mail specifically about that topic very soon! Grace and Peace, Russ |

This Sunday night at The Search, Suzanne Castle will be team-preaching with Randy Kuss, who will be fresh from leading the UCC discernment retreat. The service will also feature art from members of our congregation who are exploring the intersection between art and the sacred as part of Suzanne's doctoral project (something that will continue for two more Sundays).
