Weekly E-news
February 13, 2010
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ |
Dear youth and parents, I have a lighter version of the e-news for you this week after the church closed early on Thursday and remained closed on Friday (the typical e-news prep days). Sarah and I took advantage of the long weekend to get away and celebrate our 5th anniversary while visiting old friends in Houston. (Sarah has used the term "babycation," which is apparently a thing that expectant couples do before the baby arrives. I am searching for evidence that this is a real phenomenon.)
Scroll down for the news items for this week, and I'll look forward to seeing you when we return to Fort Worth!
Grace and Peace, Russ
Final 2010 summer camp dates available to view or download
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
All of the finalized summer camp dates for 2010 have been posted online, and you can view or download them as a PDF file by clicking here. This year there are ten different camps to choose from, covering kindergarten through recent high school grads. All camps will take place at Disciples Crossing, our church camp in Athens.
While you're looking over those dates, mark your calendar for Camp Sunday on April 11. Our ministry assistant, Sharyn Peterson, will be set up in Fellowship Hall that morning to get you registered for summer camps and mission trips in time for the early bird deadlines.
