 Weekly E-news
January 7, 2010
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ |
Dear youth and parents, I apologize in advance that most of this e-news is a list of upcoming trips and retreats, but we have several great events coming up over the next three months that require you to register soon. This month we have the Soul Brothers intergenerational retreat for guys, coming up January 15-17. In February our youth will head to our church camp, Disciples Crossing, for Chi Rho (grades 6-8) and CYF (9-12) Midwinter Retreats. The Chi Rho event is February 5-7, while the CYF retreat is February 26-28. Then in March, youth and adults can participate in our Intergenerational Mission Pilgrimage to New Orleans that's scheduled for Spring Break (March 14-20). That one is limited to 30 people, so be sure to sign up soon before it fills up!
One note on upcoming events: The planning team for the Be intergenerational retreat for women has decided to reschedule the retreat for later in the spring when more of those who have expressed an interest can attend. When new dates are finalized we'll be adding that information to the e-news.
Also, I wanted to let you know that I'll be preaching at The Search this Sunday night at 5 p.m. in Fellowship Hall as we kick off a new four-week series called "Directionally Challenged: How To Get From Here To There." I hope to see some of you there!
Grace and Peace, Russ
