CYF outing to Six Flags Holiday in the Park this Saturday
Youth Christmas parties this Sunday from 6:30 - 8 p.m.
Register now for "Be: An Intergenerational Women's Retreat"
Registration continues for Soul Brothers retreat for guys

Dear youth and parents,

Things are busy here at the church as the season of Advent continues and Christmas approaches.  Our high schoolers will travel to Six Flags this Saturday to enjoy Holiday in the Park, our youth groups have their annual Christmas parties on Sunday night hosted by the Lanter family, and registration continues for our upcoming intergenerational retreats for men and women.  Details on all of these events are listed below.

I also want to highlight UCC's Blue Christmas service, a special worship experience that's designed for those who are experiencing grief or loss this holiday season. If it's going to be a blue Christmas for you or someone you know this year, I hope that you'll be able to attend or invite others to participate. The service will take place this Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m. in the Sanctuary.

One final note: I'll be preaching this Sunday evening at The Search (5 p.m. in Fellowship Hall), and it would be great to see you there as we celebrate Christmas in a distinctively Search way!

Grace and Peace,
Russ

Mark your calendar and prepare for a winter wonderland at Six Flags this Saturday, December 19! All interested high school youth will gather at UCC at 1:15 p.m., head to Six Flags to experience fun rides and shows, and be back at the church by 8:30 p.m. Our group-rate tickets are $20 each (dinner and souvenirs are extra), and we can still buy additional tickets at that price when we arrive on Saturday. If you'd like to go and haven't signed up, just e-mail me at isaac@uccftw.com so that we can count you in.  We look forward to sharing the holidays with you!

Note for high school bell ringers: We are making arrangements for you to leave early for your bell choir commitment that evening so that you can still enjoy an afternoon at Six Flags.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Russ Christmas
Our Chi Rho and CYF Christmas parties will be hosted by the Lanter family at their home, located at 2624 Boyd Avenue (just four blocks behind the church) from 6:30 - 8 p.m. on Sunday night, December 20.  Come celebrate the season with youth groups, teachers, and sponsors as we share dinner together, then split into Chi Rho and CYF for games and the world's cheapest gift exchanges.  Feel free to bring a friend, don your most memorable Christmas attire, and we'll see you there!
The Lanters will provide soft tacos for dinner.  As for you...
CYF (grades 9-12): Bring an appetizer, side, or dessert to share.
Chi Rho (grades 6-8): Bring a drink to share (soda, cider, hot cocoa, etc.)
Everyone: Bring the best gift you can find for $1 or less (wrapped or bagged) for a gift exchange.
