Greetings!
We're sending you our best wishes for your holidays! After a wonderful Thanksgiving (and we hope yours was, too) we
 | | Alexis |
are beginning our Christmas activities of cookie baking and decorating, present wrapping and winterization (i.e. where did we store the hats and mittens, will the boots fit this year? etc.). We are looking forward to our first heavy snow storm (it can come anytime, now!) and to going snowshoeing in the field here at the Inn (Alexis under protest; someday we are certain that she will enjoy it!). With the coming new year, we look for new opportunities to serve you, to keeping the traditions that you already enjoy and to being surprised by new happenings. As the new year unfolds, we hope that your lives are enriched with good health, good jobs and a few quiet moments to just sit back and enjoy all that life brings to you and yours. Than | The Seymours
| k you for another year of visits to The Colonial House. You are the reason we are here and we look forward to seeing each of you in the coming year. Be well andhappy. May you be blessed with all the best in the new year. With warm regards to all, Kim, Jeff, Alexis (Sadie, Tinkerbell and Phin, too) p.s. We've posted a cookie recipe that is a family favorite - Russian Tea Cakes - wonderful for Christmas treats.

Colonial House Updates We're trying to keep this "short and sweet" so it can get written timely (by us) and read easily (by you)! So here are some simple changes that we hope you can take advantage of:
1. We've added online purchasing of Gift Certificates. You are still more than welcome to call us [(800) 639-5033], but you can also use the secure server/form online and we will follow your written instructions on where to send it and for the specified amount. Now you can order Gift Certificates 24/7.
2. We switched our phone carrier to Comcast and Voice-Over-Cable. This means you can use the house phone for free local AND long distance calls. So if your cell phone doesn't work in this area, we've still got you covered!
3. American Express is now accepted here. With many requests for it, we thought it was time we stepped up into the current age. We also accept VI, MC, DS, Checks or Cash.
4. Kim started a blog to document her quilting and knitting projects. Called Inn Stitches in Vermont, she has a challenge to finish one project a month for the next year . . . care to join her? She'll give you Inn updates, class information and the occasional "quip" from Alexis.
5. We have a new kitten. His name is Phin (short for Phineas) and he is a riot! He was a bribe for Alexis (long story) which backfired on Kim. Jeff is enjoying saying "Humph, told you so!"
