Training NEWS
Dear Friends,

What's Love Got to Do With It?

We just couldn't pass up the opportunity to capitalize on the LOVE month...making the connection between leadership and love!!  And any chance we get to use the lyrics from a Tina Turner song, we will!

As a company that is interested in developing the overall capacity of people and organizations, we have explored the role that "love" plays in successful leaders.  Great leaders do more than focus on the numbers, they "love" what they do.  They inspire others with their dedication and commitment and understand that productivity is higher when people are respected and individual qualities recognized.

In the dictionary, love is defined as "A deep, tender, feeling of affection and solicitude toward a person, such as that arising from kinship, recognition of attractive qualities, or a sense of underlying oneness."

So how much do you love what you do? How do you recognize and reward those who you are fortunate enough to lead?  And how does the idea of oneness affect your workplace?

Let the team at Morris Interactive increase your love!!! Love for yourself, your skills, your team mates and your workplace.  Let's face it, we would all be much happier with more LOVE!!!

We look forward to hearing from you soon! #1-866-955-3006 or email us at info@morrisinteractive.ca

REWARDING YOUR STAFF: IS LOVE ENOUGH

What do you currently do to recognize your employees for a job well-done? Do you focus on financial rewards like the "year-end bonus"? Or do you give the occasional Friday afternoon off?  Or are you using the 'atta boy/girl' tactic?  Most employers appreciate their employee's great work, but haven't figured out the best way to reward them.

In today's world, "retention of talent" has become a key strategy in organizations, and therefore it has become increasingly important that employers take steps to find out how to reward their employees so they will stay. To get started on this process, we have listed five questions for employers to ask their employees:

  1. What makes you feel like a valuable contributor to this organization?
  2. What tools/resources, skills or empowerment do you need to be more effective?
  3. How do you like to be rewarded and acknowledged for a good job?
  4. What de-motivates you?
  5. What would make your work more meaningful and satisfying?

These questions are not just useful at employee review time but can be asked under more informal settings as well. Remember, employee recognition is not only just a nice thing to do but it bridges the gap between rewarding employees for their behaviours and accomplishments and the achievement of the organization's goals!

BRING TRAINING IN HOUSE: GROW YOUR OWN TRAINERS
One Day Facilitation Skills Workshop

Are you tired of running poorly received training sessions?

Are you looking for some basic skills to run, organize and facilitate your organizations meetings and training sessions?

Many of our clients and partners are asking us how they can grow their own facilitators?  We have clients who have highly technical training that they need to
regularly provide to their staff, but they don't have the facilitators or trainers to effectively do this.  In order to address this request, Morris Interactive is hosting a one-day workshop open to any organization looking at building their in-house trainers.

This one-day workshop has been created to make core facilitation skills better understood and readily available for your organization. It represents materials and ideas that have been tested and refined over twenty years of active facilitation in all types of settings.

Topics include:
  • Core facilitation skills/role of the facilitator
  • Content & process of a great training session
  • Common facilitation techniques
  • Dealing with challenging/difficult dynamics
  • Effective feedback methods
Call us today to register your trainers for this effective and essential trainers workshop!  Or email us at info@morrisinteractive.ca
