Tuesday, May 24
Greetings!,
Thank you to the 85 of you who were able to make it to Partner Day last Thursday, May 19. As part of our time together, guests shared with each other how they first heard about Hope and why the work of Hope is special to them. Here were just some of the responses you gave:
"I love the parent accountability and high standards..." "The standard of excellence for inner city low income families..." "The combination of education and the hope of Christ..." "The Christian stance of the school is essential..." "Hope's model is getting results at a fraction of the cost..." In summary, you believe Hope is a truly unique school for inner city youth, and most of you heard about Hope from someone already connected to the school. As I mentioned at Partner Day, our goal of serving 550 students by 2017 will require doubling our number of Partners by 2017. I challenged Partners that if each one of us reach one other Partner, we really can get there. In order to help you reach out to friends--we have a number of "Growing Hope" events on the horizon. Please take a minute to complete our brief Partner Involvement Response Form (click link) to let us know if you would like to be involved in any of these upcoming events. If you have questions, don't hesitate to contact Dan Olson at 612-721-6294 ext. 106 or dolson@hopeschool.org. Finally, I wanted to encourage Partners who sponsor students to be checking your mailbox this week: your students took time recently to write you a personal letter, and you will also receive some teacher comments. Blessings in Christ, Russ Gregg Head of School
P.S. - Don't forget to complete out our Partner Involvement Response Form. Thank you! Summer School Volunteering If you, your kids, or someone you know is interested in volunteering during your summer session, please visit our volunteer page here, or call Mary Brown at 612-721-6294 ext. 115 or mbrown@hopeschool.org. Finishing Touches Fund Update ($165,000) We have raised enough funds to begin work on our locker rooms and chapel space, but are still $165,000 short of reaching our Finishing Touches Fund goal. You can learn about the locker rooms, chapel, and gym upgrades planned through this two-minute video. Let Dan Olson know if you'd like to make a gift. You can also make a gift directly to the Finishing Touches Fund online (just select "Finishing Touches" under "Fund"). Boaz Partner Update We are still praying for 4-5 Partners to commit to being a Boaz Partner for the 2011-2012 school year, please contact Dan Olson at 612-721-6294 ext. 106 or dolson@hopeschool.org if a one-time gift of $50,000-$100,000 fits within your giving plans. |
