NOMINATED FOR PACIFIC SOUTHWEST EMMY
Jeff Ravitz, C72,
has been nominated for a Pacific Southwest Emmy Award for his television
lighting for A Salute To Teachers 2007. The annual awards program is produced
by Channel 4 San Diego/ Cox Communications.
Jeff also designed the Bravo
Television broadcast of the GLAAD Awards 2008, taped live from the Kodak Theatre
in April. The show will air June 27 on Bravo.
NORTHWESTERN- DRIVEN COMEDIC WEB SERIES!
Melissa Hunter (Comm. '06) and Jennifer Cron (Comm. '07) have just released
a trailer for their upcoming comedic web series "Let's Get Laid!" which they
wrote, produced, and starred in. Directed by Robert Cosnahan (Comm. '05), this
new web show is a raunchy, off-the-wall comedy that chronicles the dating
misadventures of two girls, fresh out of college, living in LA.

CALL FOR ACTORS! The hugely popular NUEA Script
Reading program returns with a vengeance this month and we're looking for actors
ASAP! We'll be casting two original TV pilots to be read at the
Open Fist Theatre Thurs, June 19th as well as 3 - 4 other scripts to be read
over the course of the next year. These are table readings of scripts generated
from the NUEA Writer's Group. They are in front of an audience, free and open
to the general public. There are no auditions and no rehearsals.
We cast solely from headshots and resumes. Actors get the script ahead of time
and are expected to prepare their roles.
