Coble's biting, irreverent social satire is set in the
near future. When a rare Native American performer dies at the Culture Fiesta
ethnic theme-park, determined employee Henry Carson must venture into an
America ravaged by global warming, marauding viruses and helicopter gunfights to
capture a real Navajo to serve tourists "authentic" frybread. Between an
incessantly blogging wife, a son attending school on a green screen, and a
replacement Indian that's more trouble than he seems, Henry discovers the
meaning of authenticity...and that sloppy joes are sexier served on the
floor.

WEST
The
Open Fist Theatre Company proudly presents the Los Angeles Premiere of BLUE
NIGHT IN THE HEART OF THE WEST, written by James Stock & Directed by N.U.
Alum. Amanda Weier.
BLUE NIGHT IN THE HEART OF THE WEST is a stunningly
dark and comic theatrical spectacle befitting its subject: America. It's David
Lynch meets the Bible, and the American Dream turned Dali-esque nightmare;
a,scathing revelation into the soul of New Canaan, which,is as mythic as it is
psychopathic- much like the good book
itself.
Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm
and,Sundays at 7pm at The Open Fist Theatre:

Amanda Weier
(Director) holds a B.S. degree in Theatre and Creative Writing from Northwestern
University and a Certificate in Directing from The Royal Court's International
School. Additionally, she has been selected to participate in this year's
Directors Lab West program. Prior Los Angeles directing credits include the West
Coast Premiere of Neil LaBute's AUTOBAHN, and OFTC Directors Fest productions of
I STAND BEFORE YOU NAKED by Joyce Carol Oates, and NEVER SWIM ALONE by Daniel
MacIvor. Amanda is also a Slamsdance award-winning screenwriter.
