Palette Magazine Article I was thrilled when I opened the Oct/Nov issue of Palette magazine and saw an article written by Pittsburgh artist Linda Fruhwald. The article includes several experimental watercolor prints that I did in Linda's class as well as that of three other Pittsburgh artists. To read more, click here.

Painting Penny
 This was one of my favorite pet portraits. Penny is a wonderful dog with lots of personality. Penny's owner is a creative person who was not interested in a portrait that looks like a photograph. She wanted me to capture Penny's unique personality, as well as make the painting lively and colorful. To see the painting as it progressed, click here.

Upcoming Art Events in Pittsburgh October and November may conjure up thoughts of fall leaves and crisp nights. But you might not know it's also one of the best times to visit galleries. This is the time of year that galleries show their most exciting work.
ART IN THE PARK
Saturday, Oct 6 to Sunday, Oct 7 10 a.m.-6 p.m. An outdoor art festival in Mount Lebanon Park featuring art, food, children's activities and music. I will be in booth #109, so I hope to see you there! For information, click here.
PITTSBURGH CENTER FOR THE ARTS
Filled to the brim with art and film, the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts hosts a variety of exciting art shows. Opening night is November 15 from 6-9 p.m. Here are just some of the exhibitions you will see: The Pittsburgh Watercolor Society's 61st Aqueous International; The Pittsburgh Filmmakers Member Show, the Craftsman's Guild of Pittsburgh's Tryst with Glass and much more. ASSOCIATED ARTISTS 97th ANNUAL EXHIBITION
Finally! The Associated Artists of Pittsburgh's Annual Exhibition is back at the Carnegie Museum of Art. The opening reception is Friday, November 2, 2007 from 6-9 p.m. Click here to find out more.
