| Celebration Prayer Garden |
|
Riverbend's campers and guests have received a wonderful gift from Howard and Sue Schutt...a beautiful prayer garden next to the Dining Hall. The Schutts, members of South Oaks Baptist Church, felt God's leadership to provide this prayer garden as they recalled how much places like this had meant to them in the past. Their gift will be a blessing to all who come to Riverbend as the prayer garden will provide a wonderful place to spend time with God and with one another.
The garden has ten benches, three ponds with waterfalls and two streams all surrounded by beautiful plants, shrubs and trees. The water feature ends in a 12 foot waterfall over the natural bluff. A new overlook deck has been built to take advantage of this spectacular view. The next time you are at Riverbend, get that early cup of coffee and spend some time in this beautiful new garden.

| Cabin 4 and 5 to Receive Extreme Makeover |
Thanks to a generous gift from the Wynonia Pallmeyer Estate, Cabin 4 will receive a total renovation beginning in August. Plans for the 80-bed cabin are to enlarge the meeting room and restrooms, new roof, new sidings, new windows as well as to totally upgrade the interior. A new parking area will be added and an overlook deck will be built out over the bluff in front of the cabin. Cabin 5 is scheduled to receive the same renovation in the fall of 2009.
If your group would like to bring a volunteer group and work on this cabin, please let us know.
