Going the Extra Mile 5K
 Athlete's Arena will once again host East Lake Community Church ACTS (A Community That Shares) Ministry's Going the Extra Mile 5K Walk/Run on May 30th at 8:30 AM. Prizes will be given to the Top Three Overall Male and Female runners, the Male and Female Master Winners, and to the Top Three Males and Females of each age category.

Congratulations, Shane!  Savannah, GA hosted the first annual Cheryl Haworth Classic Weightlifting Competition on January 10 to honor Coastal Empire Weightlifting and Savannah's 2000 Olympic Bronze Medalist and three time Olympian. Shane Miller snatched 86kg and clean & jerked 107kg, for 1st place in his age group and 2nd place in his weight class. Congratulations, Shane! |

Congratulations, Bert!  The Caledonian Society of Arizona hosted the 45th Annual Arizona Scottish Gathering and Highland Games last weekend leading with a Pro-Am competition on Saturday. Bert Sorin ruled the stone throws - taking both Braemar and Open Stone - setting new field records and PRs in each and took 4th overall (Harrison Bailey III, Mike Pockoski, Larry Brock took the top 3 spots in that order).
