Elise Receives Posture Alignment Specialist (PAS) Certification
Elise MatthewsOur very own Elise Matthews has received Posture Alignment Speclialist (PAS) certification by Egoscue University! The Egoscue Method is a unique and very effective program designed to treat musculoskeletal pain without drugs, surgery, or manipulation. Egoscue is a process which involves a series of stretches and gentle egoscuecises ("e-cises") designed specifically for each client. This process strengthens specific muscles and brings the body back to its proper alignment and functioning the way it was designed-pain free.

Five Training Tips for the Weekend Warrior by Josh Ortegon
Weekend WarriorAccording to Merriam-Webster's On-Line Dictionary, the definition of the Weekend Warrior is: A person who participates in a usually physically strenuous activity only on weekends or part-time.
 
At Athlete's Arena, we do a lot of work with weekend warriors; normal, everyday people who have full-time jobs but still thrive to stay as active as their schedules allow. Many of these men and women are former athletes who want to get back to the "glory days" or those who want to participate in functional sport specific training to either improve their golf game or win their flag football championship.

With the increasing cost of travel and Athlete's Arena's mission to provide the highest quality performance training in the state, we are re-launching our Online Training program!  This program is designed for those who don't have the time to meet with a personal trainer, or simply live too far away to train with us on a regular basis, but want the results our local athletes and clients are achieving.

Mud Run 08 Athlete's Arena proudly sponsored our very own Summer Ortegon, Elise Matthews and team to compete in the annual United States Marine Corps 4.2-mile Ultimate Challenge Mud Run course! Our team came in 123rd place out of 1103 teams with a time of 51 minutes and 23 seconds. Way to go!
