Great Friend to Kids Awards

The Children’s Museum will host its 2nd Annual Great Friend to Kids Awards on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at 11:00AM. These awards honour local individuals and organizations that have made outstanding contributions to enriching the lives of children. By recognizing those who are dedicated to helping children, we hope to inspire others to do the same!

The Children's Museum is thrilled to announce that the 2011 Great Friend to Kids Awards recipients are:

Mini Mondays

Mondays at the Children’s Museum are very special days! Every Monday from 10:00AM to 2:00PM we tailor crafts and activities to suit the needs of our youngest visitors. Join us in October when we will be offering special guided crafts, activities, and story times designed for toddlers.

6th Annual Way Off Broadway Dance Extravaganza

Date: Sunday, November 20, 2011
Place: Pantages Playhouse Theatre

We are now recruiting dance teams! Anyone can be a part of this dance extravaganza, as no dance experience is necessary. Teams consist of 5-25 team members. Teams will receive ten hours of free dance choreography and then perform at the Pantages Playhouse Theatre for the title of Way Off Broadway Dance Champions. All event proceeds will provide fun learning opportunities for underprivileged children through our Free2Play Access Program and School Program development.

This is a pledge-based fundraising event. Registration cost is $150. All teams must submit a minimum of $1000 in paid pledges by November 20, 2011.

Online Auction

Visit our Online Auction website from November 3 to November 24, 2011 for your chance to bid on great one-of-a-kind items and services. All event proceeds will support the Children's Museum's Free2Play Access Program that provides free visits and programming to underprivileged children in our community and will support educational programs for our 135,000+ annual visitors.
