  • Cube Your Enthusiasm Recap

The Children’s Museum held its inaugural Cube Your Enthusiasm event on Thursday, June 2, 2011. Over 250 guests enjoyed an evening of incredible food, wonderful entertainment, and unique fundraising games. Event highlights were gallery-themed tapas cuisine, an ice sculpture martini bar, colourful cake pops, performances by musician Leonard Shaw and magician Evan Morgan, as well as exciting fundraising games - which included a chance to win a brand new scooter and other amazing prizes! Raising over $21,000, all event proceeds will be used to support our Capital Campaign. The evening was such a success encouraging adults to be kids again that it ended with a huge line-up to slide down Illusion Tunnel!

A special thank you goes out to Bonnie and John Buhler, hosts of the evening. They generously made a gift of $800,000 to the Children’s Museum Capital Campaign in support of the construction of a new signature building, the Buhler Welcome Center, which will open later this summer.

Build for Kids Golf Tournament Recap

On May 17, 2011, nearly 100 golfers and volunteers took to the links at Bridges Golf Course and enjoyed a great day of fun and golf in support of the Children’s Museum. Thank you to all of the sponsors, food and prize donors, participants and volunteers for your amazing support! This year, over $20,000 was raised which will be used to support our Capital Campaign and the Free2Play Access Program which provides free museum admission, classroom visits, and after-school programs to children in our city who cannot otherwise afford such activities.
