Check Out Crystals to Gems!

Until October 19, 2008

Crystals to Gems

This is your last chance to check out our latest exhibit, Crystals to Gems, which explores the world of crystals: how they grow and their variety in form and colour. A traveling exhibition from the Canadian Museum of Nature, Crystals to Gems introduces visitors to gemstones, including their special attributes of beauty, rarity and durability and how they are cut and polished. Visitors will also get a glimpse of some Canadian gemstones and discover where the minerals are found in Canada.

Children can play a "rock" song on our new drill core xylophone, or on weekends they can try panning for "gold" in our gold panning trough.

Included with museum admission.
