The Giving of the Torah
|

|
"The purpose of the giving of the Torah was
indeed unity. But what is true unity? When a
person recognizes the One in the many, then
he perceives unity in the midst of diversity.
It is only when he has encountered more than
one form of existence and still maintains
unity that he has seen true
Oneness." Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi
Menachem M. Schneerson

We are happy to invite you to join us for an
all day sitting and study in honor of
Shavuout. (The giving of the
Torah) Wednesday, May 19th 1 - 8:30
p.m. (Doors open 12:45) 444 East 82
Street Apt. 35B New York, 10028 The
Rabbis of old sat one hour, prayed one
hour and then sat for another hour. They did
this three times a day. When asked how they
had time to meet their needs when they did
this, they replied, "Then everything we need
is brought right to us."
We look forward to this beautiful day.
