FEARLESS (The 7 Principles of Peace of Mind)

I am a nationally-renowned psychologist (in practice for over 30 years), and the author of several best-selling and critically-acclaimed books, including Zen and the Art of Falling in Love, The Anger Diet, (30 Days to Stress Free Living), Zen Miracles (Finding Peace in An Insane World) Why Men Leave and Journey Through Illness and Beyond. My books have won Best Book of the Year awards and have been translated in over 20 languages. I have appeared numerous times on national television (Geraldo, NBC, CBS, ABC, MSNBC) and have written for, been quoted, and/or reviewed in (Cosmopolitan, Mademoiselle, Redbook, Woman's Day). I am currently the Relationship Expert on ivillage.com

I am writing to let you know that my new book, FEARLESS: THE 7 PRINCIPLES OF PEACE OF MIND will be published in June, 2010 by Barnes and Noble/Sterling Press. Sterling is very excited about the book and will publish in hardcover with a first printing of 15,000 copies; translation rights have already been sold in 12 countries.

I have written several articles based on the book titled, "Fearless Relationships," which I would like to submit for your consideration. I would also be grateful if you would consider serializing and/or reviewing FEARLESS.

"Fearless Relationships" shows how fear, which is so prevalent today operates in relationships, preventing us from experiencing the success, fulfillment and connection we so desire. Fear is a toxin which infiltrates every aspect of our lives. It lowers our immune system, clouds our thoughts and creates all kinds of catastrophic expectations. When fear attacks relationships it causes us to become suspicious, defensive and unable to live with natural trust and good will. When fear becomes intense, friends can turn into enemies right under our eyes.

The article will show how fear camouflages itself and manifests in all kinds of ways, as addiction, perfectionism, rejection and inappropriate cravings. Readers will discover that fear is not inherent in situations, but arises from the ways in which they respond. Despite its intense hold on our lives, fear is simply a bully. When we turn around and face it head on it slinks away.

The article will offer brand new ways of handling old, stuck situations and include uniquely designed exercises that have been developed over the years. These exercises, which arise from the basic laws of fearless relationships, dissolve fear and other painful emotions easily.

Thank you for your consideration and I look forward to your response.
