Zen practice entails a profound inquiry into the nature
of self. From from isolating themselves, however, Zen
students grow into a deeper understanding of their
relationship with all beings. Ultimately, as practice
ripens, one develops a profound love for and
connection to all, free of
attachment. Through lecture, discussion,
exercises and questions and answers, this lively,
interactive workshop will explore the simple laws of
love and
relationship, and how to practice them in our daily
lives. We will explore the ways in which difficulties
in relationships can be approached through
these simple laws. We will also look at
the ways in which these basic truths relate to Zen
practice, how one informs and enhances the other -
and what
the true heart of relationship really is.
The workshop will take place In the unique setting of
Brooklyn's Zen Center.
