International Balloon Association Announces

Greetings Balloon Industry Members!

It's finally happened! The balloon industry is getting its due attention in a highly visible way with a six-part series on TLC beginning  Monday, Feb. 7th, in the form of a reality show called, The Unpoppables. The show is based on three well-known balloon twister/decorator artists, Addi Somekh, Katie Laibstain and Brian Asman who will create large-scale balloon sculptures for various events while viewers get to see the creative process from brainstorming to crafting to installation. Qualatex balloons are featured throughout and used for every event which averaged 15,000 balloons per installation.

In checking the Weekly Shows schedule on www.TLC.com for Feb.7 -18th, I see that two different episodes are scheduled back-to-back beginning at 7 and 7:30 PM CST/8 and 8:30 PM EST. The first is called Firehouse Blowup and the second, Blowing Up Art, will then be aired again at 10PM CST/11PM EST. On Feb. 14th it shows two new espisodes airing at these same times.

Please forward this information to your customers/clients who may have already been reading the buzz on Balloon HQ and let's all watch as the balloon industry gets a giant jolt of reality television acknowlegement. I for one plan to record each episode so that I won't miss out!

Also, please look for a newsletter next week from IBA announcing the latest updates on September is International Balloon Month and Annual Conference 2011.

Happy Viewing,
