NCTE has endorsed the National Equality March, to be held the weekend of October 9-11, 2009 and we hope you'll join us for these free events we are hosting with the DC Trans Coalition:
 
Transgender Reception � Oct 9, 2009 8:00-10:00pm

Transgender people and our families, friends and allies are invited to join the National Center for Transgender Equality and local DC trans advocates for drinks and snacks at the Longview Gallery from 8-10pm on Friday, October 9th. Form connections with activists and allies from Washington and across the country as we welcome you to our nation's capitol.

Casual attire. This event is free and open to all.

Town Hall Meeting on Transgender Policy Issues � Oct 10, 2009 6:00-8:00pm

This town hall meeting will provide an update on transgender-related federal legislation, as well as an opportunity to discuss effective techniques for state and local organizing.  Learn what issues others are facing in their communities, and share ideas and strategies you can use to work towards transgender equality anywhere in the country.
