A CELEBRATION OF MUSIC AND DANCE FROM AROUND THE WORLD!

 The Leavenworth International Dance Festival Committee is very excited to bring two days of International Dance to entertain young and old at the Front Street Gazebo in Leavenworth. 

 Leavenworth, Washington is the perfect place to showcase the talents of dance groups from throughout the Pacific Northwest.  This celebration showcases music and dance and the sharing of heritage and culture which has become a part of the fabric of what makes us America.  Some of the local and Northwest groups who will be performing are:  Malamalama O Ka Mahina (Leavenworth, WA), Show Brazil (Seattle, WA), PAYO (Pilipino American Youth Organization, Tacoma, WA), Shahrazad Dance Ensemble (Middle Eastern Dance, Seattle, WA), Kisbetyarok Family Dancers (Hungarian American Association)  Young Polanie "Children's Group" (Dances From Poland, Seattle, WA),  Vela Luka Croatian Dance Ensemble (Anacortes, WA), Edelweiss Tanz Gruppe (German/Austrian folk dance, Leavenworth, WA), and more!  It will be a wonderful celebration showcasing traditional dance costumes, music, and dances from places such as:  Croatia, Poland, Hawaii, Hungary, Brazil, Germany, Austria, Philippines, Savoie, Middle East, and Argentina.  This event is brought to the community and visitors alike by The Leavenworth International Dance Festival Committee with sponsorship by the City of Leavenworth and the County of Chelan with additional support by the residents and businesses in Leavenworth.
