Location: Top Phlight Terrain Park, Stevens
The Salomon Jib Academy is a series of slopestyle events for kids 16 and under where athletes ski with their favorite Salomon pros and win tons of great prizes.
 
Steven Madison Small Fry Race  April 04
Location: Base Area, Stevens Pass
All small fry's welcome to this event.  This annual event brings a competitive spirit to the youngsters as they compete for the top speed on the alpine course.

Hoedown Throwdown  April 11
Location: Terrain Park, Stevens Pass
After sessioning the park all season, skiers and riders have their chance to show off their new bag of tricks.  This event draws the areas best freestylers to compete for thousands of dollars worth of cash and prizes.

Women's Escape- last one! April 1
This is the last one of the season so don't miss it!  Bring a friend or meet some new ones.  Bring sunscreen and a smile it is alot of fun.  Three hours of coaching, demo womens specific Head ski demo and a nice relaxing lunch afterwards.  Special Parking and more. . .more info       
 
Spring Immersion - April 8-13
Finish this season off strong or jump start the next one with the Mission Ridge Spring Immersion Experience.  This is a six day package for skiers or snowboarders of all ages and ability levels includes instruction in small groups of like abilities.  Lessons are from 10am-noon and 1-3pm with one hour break for lunch each day.  You are also invited to attend a complimentary end of the season BBQ on April 13th at lunch time in Hampton Lodge.

Bear Bells That Bark  April 2

Come to this fascinating program and meet Rich Beausoliel, Bear and Cougar Specialist with the WA Dept of Fish and Wildlife and his Karelian Bear Dog (KBD) "Cash," the "preferred alternative" to the use of relocation and euthanasia in the management of bears and cougars. KBD's originated in the Karelian region of Finland, where they are considered a national treasure for their ability in hunting big game and offering protection against bears. WDFW obtained its first KBD in 2003, in a 1-year pilot program to evaluate the potential benefits of using the dog in resolving conflicts between black bears and humans in WA.

Easter Egg Hunts
Upper Valley Easter Egg Hunt   April 3

Easter must  be on  its way since Mr. Velvet Ears is fluffing up his new spring  bunny fur for his annual visit to Smallwood's this Saturday.  Word is, the eggs will be scattered for all ages to find during the hunt. Visit the  petting zoo and ride the cow train.

No better way to sing in spring than the Invitational festival with five Pacific NW choirs hosted by Leavenworth Village Voices.  It's a spine-tingling finale with  a 200- voice massed choir directed by a special guest conductor.

Sleeping Lady Mountain Resort and Icicle Arts have taken green to a new level. Budding trees, budding renewal and  ten selected pieces of original, one of a kind artwork made by local student and professional artists will be on display. 
The grounds will be closed to the public  April 23 to April 25, and May 29.

The Maifest celebration is perfect for mom. Enjoy 3 days of live Bavarian music in the gazebo, a grand march, followed by the "Looking Good in Lederhosen" contest. The Maipole Dance is a real crowd pleaser.  Our master gardeners will be selling their plant starts and sharing their gardening tips.
 
On Mothers Day we will be handing out discounts available throughout town for Mothers only. Join in the "Mother Daughter Look Alike" contest. We will be handing our prizes to Mom's at 1:00, 3:00 and 5:00.
