Celebrate The Holidays In Leavenworth
Greetings!

Wintertime is our favorite time here in Washington's Cascades.  As snow flies in the nearby mountains we are preparing for your most memorable holiday experience.  We kick off the  season the day after Thanksgiving with Christkindlmarkt, a German Christmas market  followed by 3 weekends of our world famous Christmas Lighting Festival.

Elves have stocked the shelves  for your early Christmas shopping. 100 shops and restaurants are at your service to satisfy every taste and the most challenging shopping list.  Accommodations are available from rustic cabins to cozy bed and breakfasts to luxury hotels.

Leavenworth is an outdoor playground for everyone who loves to play in the snow. See you soon.

Our nationally acclaimed Christmas Lighting Festival returns for an emotional visit to a turn of the century Bavarian Christmas, holiday personalities and a ceremonial lighting of the town. On Friday evenings the lights are  off as we greet Saint Nicholas at 4:00 p.m. as he arrives at the Front Street Gazebo with special treats for the children.  We anticipate the lighting of the town on Saturday and Sunday.

Saturday and Sunday festivities begin with Father Christmas, Saint Nicholas & Santa Claus arriving in town at Noon. Visitors enjoy roasted chestnuts, gluhwein (German wine), craft bazaars, food booths, holiday characters such as Frosty, Rudolph, Scrooge, nutcrackers and others posing for photos. Hear live Christmas music and entertainment all afternoon and into the evening at the gazebo.
