Oktoberfest is over and a visit now lends to a more relaxed atmosphere. There is  still time to see the breathtaking vine maples, the black cottonwoods, larch and aspen trees ablaze with color.  Fall hikes will renew and refresh your spirit.
 
The harvest was abundant this year and the apples and pears are bursting with flavor. Our restaurants are preparing to tantalize you with mouthwatering holiday menus.

Olympic Slalom Team To Train At Misson Ridge in 2010

Come and see world class Olympic athletes. The United States Men's Olympic Slalom Team including 2006 Gold Medalist Ted Ligety and returning team member Bode Miller will be at Mission Ridge this February training before competing at the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games. 
 
The training, taking place between February 21-25, 2010, will prepare the athletes for the slalom race at Whistler, B.C. on February 27.  Ski Links
Leavenworth Celebrates Train Service To Town

Hundreds of local residents and Leavenworth guests came out to our new Icicle Station to welcome the return of train service to Leavenworth.   Washington Rail News said "this is the most enthusiastic station opening All Aboard WAshington members can recall since the rebuilding and opening of new stations in the state got into full swing some 15 years ago."   The scenery is amazing as you enter into the mountains.
A shuttle service  meets the train and brings you into town. Make your lodging reservations and then  call Amtrak: 800-872-7245 for reservations or book online
