Leavenworth (LWA) is now live in the Amtrak Reservation system starting with the Westbound train on Friday the 25th and both trains on the 26th and going forward. Passengers need to call the reservation number 1-800.872.7245 and speak with an agent to make the reservation (the automated system and the website has not been updated as of yet).
The addition of a Leavenworth station is the first in many years and more than 8 years of effort and partnership building have been diligently tended to by the City of Leavenworth, Amtrak, BNSF and funding agencies.
Leavenworth is known for its Bavarian theme, architecture, festivals and food. Complemented by delightful specialty shops, a myriad of hotels, cabins, B&B's and lodges for every occasion, year round calendar of events, four seasons of unlimited outdoor recreation, and live theater all nestled in the foothills of the Cascade Mountain Range.
