The Carol Stream Chamber is 20! Usually, at our April Annual Meeting and Luncheon, we celebrate and honor those members who have been with us for 10 years. And we will do that April 11th at the Holiday Inn & Suites, but this year we add those that have been with us from the GET-GO.....originals.....charter members!

| WOMEN IN BUSINESS NEWS | |
The Women In Business luncheon for April will be held at Glendale Lakes Golf Club on Wednesday, April 25th, 11:30-1. The always-popular "Tables of Interest Progressive Luncheon" is the agenda for this date. What is it, you ask?
Generally, a progressive luncheon is when you start at one table for your salad/soup, PROGRESS to the next for your entree' and finish at the third table for your dessert. Sometimes directed by numbers on a nametag, attendees are directed to where they will sit.
UNLIKE a *yawn* numbers-on-nametag directive, this "Tables of Interest" event will find YOU choosing your tables. What are your interests - Wine lover? Avid Reader? Pining for Pinterest? You will have the opportunity to choose from 'tickets' to pick your three tables by your interests.
Why would we do something so UN-business-like? It's all about relationships. When you sit at that table, you immediately 'bond' because you have something in common right at the get-go with those other people. Relationships are, of course, key in building business.

| MULTI-CHAMBER AFTER HOURS - APRIL 10th @ CADENCE HEALTH |  Our After Hours for April will be a Multi-Chamber event on April 10th at Cadence Health, 245 S. Gary, Bloomingdale from 4:30-7:00pm. It will be held in conjunction with the Grand Opening of their new Rehab Clinic. I hear they will be giving away FIVE $50 restaurant gift cards!! | SAY "I DO!" & BE A WEDDING EXPO EXHIBITOR | |
On April 14th from 11am to 3pm, brides-to-be will bring their bridesmaids, attendants, Moms, and yes, maybe even their grooms to the 2nd annual chamber Wedding Expo.
We've mailed purple postcards to 430 brides, posted posters and postcards in local businesses, taken out ads on The Knot and the Daily Herald. Social Media is buzzing about the wedding expo, a one-stop-shopping experience for all things WEDDING.
We are more than half full but will find room for your business. If you cannot be there with a booth, why not consider a promotional item or flyer (wedding/purple-themed) for our 250 goodie bags?

| CHAMBER 101 - BENEFICIAL TO NEW MEMBERS & VISITORS | |
We have planned an event, knows as "Chamber 101" on April 27th, held at the Carol  Stream Public Library from 7:30am-8:30am, to help those who are new to the chamber. At this session, attendees will do some networking, learn what events are held, how to navigate the website, all about ChamberMaster, and how to maximize their membership. Non-members who may benefit from chamber membership are also invited and encouraged to attend.
