Dear Chamber Members, |
This monthly eNewsletter supplements our quarterly printed edition and is designed to keep you current with chamber events and opportunities.
Touch your iPhones, fire up your PDAs, or take out your day planner and enter these events. If you know someone who would benefit from our organization, feel free to forward this to them. |
INTERESTING PROGRAM FEBRUARY 8th |
Chamber members are invited and encouraged to attend next week's luncheon where speaker, Monica Khetarpal, an attorney with Jackson Lewis LLP, will discuss some of the new requirements employers should know about what to post in their workplaces. Networking will be rampant at the February 8th luncheon, held at the Holiday Inn & Suites in Carol Stream.
And, as if you needed yet another reason to schedule this luncheon event on your calendar, don't forget that one lucky attendee, if a chamber member, will win $20 as we start the 2012 year off right. Continuing with that thought, in March, the drawing will include all business cards collected in February AND March. You can see where this is leading - if you attend both luncheons, you'll have twice the chance to win. In March, if the chosen card's owner is not in attendance, the $20 rolls over until the next month, and so on.

GRAND RE-OPENING |
Chamber member, Jane Prochnow, of Balloons From All Occasions, invites the chamber members to her Grand Re-Opening on Valentine's Day - February 14th, at 1:00pm. Her store is located at 1231 Butterfield Road in Wheaton, east of Naperville/Naper Blvd. Come on out and celebrate with Jane and her staff, while networking with others. |
WOMEN IN BUSINESS NEWS |
The Women In Business will have a luncheon on Wednesday, February 29th featuring speaker Eva Brown of the Women's Business Development Center. Her topic will be "The Value of Persistence" and we'll be meeting at Hilton Chicago/Indian Lakes Resort.
For those who want to do a bit more, our WIB events always have a philanthropic element to them. This month, we will collect non-perishable food items for the People's Resource Center. Remember that men are always invited to attend WIB events, as well as non-members. Click here to register...
