LUNCHEON/RSVP POLICY - Our Luncheon/RSVP Policy is that attendees pre-register for all chamber luncheons, regular monthly luncheons as well as Women In Business luncheons. When you pre-register, we are better able to plan with the restaurants we are dealing with for the right amount of meals. Pre-registration (RSVP) must be done 3 business days prior (Friday noon for a Wednesday luncheon) and walk-ins will not be able to be accommodated. Some luncheons require earlier response. Member Fee for a regular luncheon is $25 and non-members are $30 pre-paid. Cancellation and no-shows will be charged $25. Payment will be expected in advance or at the door; no invoicing available. Some luncheons with other groups or special events may have different fees. We do appreciate your consideration and cooperation on this policy. If you would like to include a flyer in the next printed and mailed chamber newsletter, please provide 330 flyers and a check for $120 to us before November 25th. We'll do the collating, stuffing, sealing and stamping. Suggestions to include: a single 8.5 x 11 copy (color or b/w), a one page menu, or special offer. Drop us an email and let us know you'll be including a flyer in the December newsletter, to go out the first week of December (AFTER the Holiday Social!) |

| NOVEMBER LUNCHEON - NOV. 9th | |
In a program that will have you Learning and Laughing AND help you grow your business, acclaimed Irish business speaker, author and award winning humorist, Conor Cunneen will show how everyone can have The Gift of GAB, whether from Ireland, Iran or Irving Park.
This will be presented at the November 9th luncheon held at the Holiday Inn & Suites in Carol Stream from 11:30am to 1:00pm.
Cunneen is a former VP Marketing Unilever, who has worked in Ireland, UK, USA. He combines his Sales and Marketing experience with the wit that won Chicago Humorous Speaker of the Year to present compelling Substance with Humor. A multiple author, his new book For the Love of Being Irish has just hit the book shelves.
Don't forget - we will hold a drawing for $20! Each month since January, members drop their business card in the drum. The more times you attend a lunch, the more chances we might pull your card. BOB BURG SEMINAR NOV. 3rd |
I  nternational bestselling author, Bob Burg, will be presenting a seminar, "Influence and Success: The Go-Giver Way" on Thursday, Nov. 3rd from 7:30am-noon. A bonus hour of networking will follow, as this event will be at Venuti's in Addison. Tickets are $77 if pre-registered or $97 at the door. CS Chamber members are eligible for a $10 discount, using CSCPROMO when registering.

WOMEN IN BUSINESS NEWS | |
So have you been to a "progressive luncheon"? That would be the kind of event where you move from table to table, meeting about 30 people instead of the usual 10 at your table.
The next Women In Business luncheon will be the November 16th "Polka Dot Progressive" luncheon from 11:30am-1:30pm at the Holiday Inn (in the tent).
Instead of those three numbers on your nametag, denoting three tables you are assigned to, we will have our attendees throw the dice to determine where they will sit. The dots on the dice 'turn into' a polka dot theme and many will wear polka dot dresses, blouses, or ties to the event.
This is the grandest WIB event of the year, as we team up with 13 other chambers. Last year we had 215 attendees! You won't want to miss it.
You may bring flyers or a stack of business cards to place on a brochure table. Cute black and white polka dot bags will be available for collection.
Men are always invited, as well as women and non-members. Luncheon price is $25/members or $30/non-members.

SAVE THE DATE - 5 STAR EXPO IS FEBRUARY 10th |
 If a Business-to-Business Expo is perfect for your company, then you may want to pencil in February 10, 2012 as the Five Star Expo. In its 16th year, this popular event will be held at Hilton Chicago/Indian Lakes Resort from 9am to 3pm and will boast 100 booths. Sponsorship opportunities range from Food Sponsors, to Expo Sponsors to Superstar Sponsors.
As an attendee to the event, how can you go wrong when there is FREE parking, FREE networking, FREE admission, and FREE food samples!?? Booth space starts at $225 and the mailing will be done later this month, so watch your mailboxes.
A "BOOT(H) CAMP" will be offered on January 12, 2012 at Bloomingdale Golf Club. This kick-off event for the Five Star Expo is an informational luncheon filled with exhibitor prospects, booths, speakers and networking. Did I mention that the luncheon is sponsored by Bloomingdale Golf? This luncheon is a great fit for new employees that may need to learn more about setting up a tradeshow booth, as well as seasoned staff who could hear about the latest and greatest of Expo expectations.
