LUNCHEON/RSVP POLICY -
Our Luncheon/RSVP Policy is that attendees pre-register for all chamber luncheons, regular monthly luncheons as well as Women In Business luncheons. When you pre-register, we are better able to plan with the restaurants we are dealing with for the right amount of meals. Pre-registration (RSVP) must be done 3 business days prior (Friday noon for a Wednesday luncheon) and walk-ins will not be able to be accommodated. Some luncheons require earlier response. Member Fee for a regular luncheon is $25 and non-members are $30 pre-paid. Cancellation and no-shows will be charged $25. Payment will be expected in advance or at the door; no invoicing available. Some luncheons with other groups or special events may have different fees. We do appreciate your consideration and cooperation on this policy. Please call Luanne Triolo Newman if you have any further questions on this matter (630) 665-3325. |

GOLF.....GOLF.....GOLF.... ON JULY 26TH |
A golfer sets the little white ball on the tee. The club has been carefully chosen. Backswing, and BAMMM.....then .....SPLASH. The little white ball has sunk to the bottom of the pond.
NO WORRIES.....this golfer is a part of the Carol Stream Chamber Golf "Classic" and since it's 'Best Ball/Scramble', the golfer just waits for a fellow golfer to get a better shot (anything is better than the bottom of the pond, isn't it???). That describes the scene on Tuesday, July 26th, at Arrowhead Golf Club in Wheaton.
But there are so many parts to this event! You most likely received a call or two from our Golf Committee, inviting you to participate as: a golfer, a sponsor, a donor of a raffle prize item, or a volunteer. We do hope you'll consider one of those choices!
So far, our sponsors are:

ACCELERATE IN JULY @ THE LUNCHEON |
What if you had to say everything about yourself and your business in 30 seconds?
What would you include? What would you leave out?
Lunch attendees will find out on Wednesday, July 13th as we host our annual "Accelerated Networking" luncheon at the Holiday Inn.
"Why only 30 seconds and why not 1 minute?" We sometimes get asked that question. The way we figure it, you get to network with TWICE as many people! Later, you can follow up with those you need more time with.
NEW THIS MONTH!!!!! - Non-members can come at the member rate AND IF YOU REFER THEM to come to this luncheon, YOU receive a free eBlast!

AFTER HOURS @ BULLDOG ALE |
For our July After Hours, two of our members are teaming up to bring you this networking event.
On July 21st, why not swing by Bulldog Ale House, 1021 Fountain View Drive, Carol Stream, where Flags USA and Bulldog invites you to some refreshments? Business After Hours (BAH) are always casual -- come for a short while; stay the whole time; leave early, come late -- with NETWORKING and BUILDING CONTACTS & RELATIONSHIPS as the major focus. Another benefit from a BAH is you are able to experience a new business location in the community.
Held from 5:30-7:30pm, this opportunity is offered to chamber members or visitors and there is no admission fee. We thank Tami Badalamenti/Flags USA and Paul Marrin and Katie Nash/Bulldog Ale House for hosting us!

WOMEN IN BUSINESS NEWS |
Whooosh!! Is it just me or is this year flying by quickly!!
Our Women In Business Committee's next event IS the September 28th "What Women Want" Expo at the Holiday Inn, Carol Stream. What do women want? 'Experts' (aka the committee) say it's all about Chocolate, Shopping, Pampering, Inspiration.
Who do we want? WE WANT YOU! If your business fits one of the above categories, fantastic! Be a part of this very PINK event. If it does not, call our office for some creative marketing advice (free!) on how your business can have a table or be a sponsor at the Expo.
There are two deadlines to keep in mind:
- the $75 booth price goes to $100 after August 1st.
- Sponsors who sign up before July 18th will have their company name INCLUDED on the postcard - we print thousands!
For the form with all the info, click here and be a part of the 5th annual "What Women Want" Expo! |
