JANUARY...A BUSY MONTH FOR ALL |
Chamber members are invited to dive right into the events that start, this first month of the new decade.
With our first Luncheon on January 13th, we kick-off the year with speaker, Doug Whitley, President of the Illinois Chamber. Some members of the Winfield Chamber will join us.
Luncheons are a great opportunity to, not only hear informative speakers, but also to meet other business professionals and make those contacts and relationships. Schedule the Carol Stream Chamber into your calendar, every 2nd Wednesday of the month (there are a couple exceptions), for that hour-and-a-half power punch of connections!

RIBBON CUTTING FRI., JAN. 15th |
New chamber member, ATI Fitness Center, will hold a Ribbon Cutting this Friday, January 15th at 11:00am. When a business is new to the community, it is key that they are introduced to the resources of the area. The Carol Stream Chamber is a strong resource for local businesses and this gathering will help ATI's staff meet our members, as well as a venue to celebrate the opening of their facility.
At every Ribbon Cutting, members should bring business cards, both to pass out, and to put in our complimentary Chamber Biz Card Holder as a welcome gift to the new business. They will provide refreshments, as well as a mini-expo for those who attend. Let us know if you will be joining us.
ATI is located at 327 E. Gundersen, Carol Stream, where SportsMed Fitness used to be. |
WOMEN IN BUSINESS NEWS |

120 Booths. 5 Chambers. 6 Hours. 14th Year.
Those numbers explain only a part of what is known as the Five Star Business Expo. Held this year at Hilton/Indian Lakes Resort on February 19th, this Business-to-business Expo is full of opportunity. Exhibitors have the opportunity to showcase their new products or services. Networking is also prevalent, as exhibitors mingle with each other, when possible, to further business relationships.
Expo booths start at $225 and there are also Sponsorship opportunities. No one leaves hungry, as 10 Food Sponsors distribute their specialties, to everyone's delight. FREE Parking, FREE Admission, FREE Giveaways (is that redundant?), FREE Networking. Whether a sponsor, exhibitor or attendee, you'll be sure to find the Five Star a valuable Expo to be a part of! |
AFTER HOURS IN JANUARY |
Chamber members have an additional opportunity to network in January since there will be TWO Business After Hours event held.
Chelsea Place, at North Avenue and Morton Road, in West Chicago will hold the 5:30-7:30pm After Hours on Thursday, January 21st. Many of you know Sindy Rogers from Manhattan's and she is also one of the key people at Chelsea Place. We are happy that she and her very competent staff will open up their place to us on the 21st.
Additionally, there will be an After Hours/Kick-off event for the Five Star Business Expo. This Kick-off will be held at Bloomingdale Golf Club on Thursday, January 28th from 5:30-7:30pm and will be open to members of all five chambers involved in the expo. Expo exhibitors can also pick up their packets at this event, as well as network with many others. A large stack of business cards should accompany attendees.
These are just a few of the venues at which to get YOUR name/YOUR business' name out there. We hope you'll stop by.
