July Luncheon on Leadership
........................................................................
Monthly chamber luncheons continue right on through the summer. There's no vacationing in chamber networking! (nor crying in baseball.)
Our July luncheon will be on July 8th at the Holiday Inn and our presenter will be Tom Berliner. Tom is the Director of the MBA Program in the Dunham School of Business at Aurora University. He will be persenting "Leadership Style: Defining, Describing and Using it."
The luncheon starts at 11:30am with 1/2 hour of networking and visiting the mini-exhibitors' tables and ends at 1:00pm. If you would like the opportunity to be a mini-exhibitor, call the chamber office today at 630.665.3325.
More info on mini-exhibitors and other ways to get your name out there can be found here. |
After Hours x 2 in July
Our "Business After Hours" for July will be held on Thursday, July 16th at Belmont Village from 5:30-7:30pm. The folks at Belmont Village know how to put on a spread and you will enjoy some fine networking at this event. They are the nicest people and have a beautiful facility near Geneva and Schmale Road in Carol Stream. Don't miss these FREE events and bring business cards.
Another opportunity to network is the Ribbon Cutting/Grand Opening at Parkway Commons Apartment Homes, 565 Gundersen, Carol Stream. Zac Sinclair and his team will start with a Ribbon Cutting and continue with an open house from 5:00pm-7:0pm on July 23rd. We are excited for Zac and all at Parkway as they have been a great supporter of the chamber and have worked long and hard to re-open their wonderful apartment homes. Come on out and mingle with fellow chamber members! |

Golf Outing - July 28th at Klein Creek
...........................................................................................................
20 years!! This year will be the 20th annual Golf "Classic" that the chamber will present at Klein Creek Golf Club. Members and their friends are signing up to golf 18 holes of 'best ball' golf at this social networking event.
How do you get your name out there? Be a sponsor! You can have your name on a sign of a variety of sizes. For silver sponsorship or higher you can actually have a table on the hole and greet the ambitious golfers - great visibility!
New this year is a Cart Sponsor for $50. Also needed are raffle prizes -- can your company donate a gift certificate? Contact the chamber office for details or click here for the registration form to jump right into this year's event! | |

Enhanced Inspection Service for Businesses
Fire Inspectors from the Carol Stream Fire Protection District will be assisting the business community in taking advantage of the Smart Ideas for Business financial incentives offered by Commonwealth Edison to assist Chamber businesses in lowering their electricity costs. Fire Inspector Rasmussen and his fellow colleague Inspector Tim Ryan will drop off as part of their annual fire inspection regimen some CFL bulbs and a packet of information on Com-Ed's Smart Ideas for Business energy efficiency financial assistance program.
Businesses are encouraged to review the program literature and consider applying for one or two of the available energy saving programs to lower their operational costs. However, don't wait for your annual fire inspection to take advantage of these energy efficiency programs.
The Smart Ideas for Business program application can be accessed on-line at www.comed.com/businesssavings or for those who want to talk to a live representative phone the program hotline at (888) 806-2273. |
Sincerely,
Luanne Triolo, Executive Director Carol Stream Chamber of Commerce |
