THANKS...FOR THE RENEWALS!!

Over 230 renewal  notices were mailed out March 1st.  Chamber members have either an April 1st or October 1st renewal anniversary. In case your invoice was misplaced, we do send out another one or two if we don't hear from you.

Our members are our best asset -- we brag about you constantly to prospective members! We thank you for your membership and look forward to a long relationship with you and your business.
Luncheon Policy Update
There is a new Luncheon Policy that began in January 2008 which requires attendees to pre-register for all chamber luncheons, regular monthly luncheons as well as Women In Business luncheons. When you pre-register, we are better able to plan with the restaurants we are dealing with for the right amount of meals. Pre-registration (RSVP) must be done 3 business days prior (Friday noon for a Wednesday luncheon) and walk-ins will not be able to be accommodated). Cost for member lunch will be $20 and non-members are $25 pre-paid. Cancellation and no-shows will be charged $20.  We do appreciate your consideration and cooperation on this new policy. Please call Luanne Triolo if you have any further questions on this matter (630) 665-3325.

Chris Schmidt/Shaklee shares her favorite travel destination at the CruiseOne table. The March 30th WIB Progressive luncheon - "Tables of Interest" received rave reviews from attendees.

Greetings!

In between our quarterly mailed newsletters, we like to keep our members updated on the monthly events.

Fire up the palm pilots, open Outlook or take out your planner and mark down these dates. These events are great opportunities to network, build relationships, thus building your business. Join us! If you know someone who could benefit from our organization, please feel free to forward this to them.

Enjoy your April!
Job Postings, Updates, Hot Deals!
When was the last time you logged onto the ChamberMaster website and viewed or updated your business info? Each Carol Stream Chamber member has a login and password to take them into a 'back door' area of the website listing.

While there, members can update or correct representative email addresses, titles or phone numbers, or look over their business description and see if it needs some freshening-up. This is a benefit to you -- take advantage of it.
Are you hiring? Members can post openings free of charge.

Another benefit is the ability to do low-cost advertising on the chamber website, to ANYONE - not only chamber members. This is called a HOT DEAL and you may create your own ad (it's easy and user friendly) for $5/week, minimum 4 weeks. These HOT DEALS are linked to on our main page and every member directory page. When you create it, you SUBMIT FOR APPROVAL and we will activate it and invoice you. We feel this is a very affordable benefit to help build your business.

It all starts when you go to www.chamberlogin.com -- let us know if you need help with your login and password.
Luncheon for April

On Wednesday, April 9th the chamber will hold the annual meeting and 10-year recognition. Starting at 11:30 with a networking 1/2  hour, members will meet at the Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites, Carol Stream.  There will be additional time for networking around each table and attendees will get a quick show of the new website.

We look forward to a full house at the April luncheon.

Remember, you can always go to the EVENTS calendar on our website ahead of time and register for any of the events. When you click on REGISTER ONLINE be sure to click on the special chamber discount/GO link to get the $20 rate. You will need your login and password. Contact us if you need yours or ask the "Primary Rep" at your company. Registering online does save us in the office a lot of time but we are always willing to help you -- just call or email us.
After Hours at Eaglewood

Our February After Hours for April will be held at the beautiful Eaglewood Resort & Spa. April 17th from 5:30-7:30 should be marked on your calendar.

The snow has (hopefully) ended and thoughts now drift to warm days on the links. This event will provide a beautiful view of the greening golf course as chamber members and visitors gather to network. Michelle Sambo and the Eaglewood staff has planned a nice event and we hope to see YOU there.

Eaglewood (formerly known as Nordic Hills) is located at  1401 Nordic Road, Itasca (Swift Road north of Lake Street). It's a FREE event and bring business cards!
5 Star Expo Recap
Five Star Expo

The 12th annual Five Star Business Expo is now history as 99 exhibitors put on a great show.

This year the event had to find a new home and after much searching, the Holiday Inn was chosen by all five chambers involved.

Members from the Addison, Bartlett, Bloomingdale, Carol Stream and Glendale Heights chambers did a wonderful job of representing their company through displays, signs, brochures and in the case of 10 restaurants, their food!

There were wheels to spin for prizes, massages for weary visitors, pens and other personalized giveaways, and logo BAGS to put it all in. (I think there was a contest to see who could get their bag 'showing' the most! We have great marketing minds in our chambers!)

When it was all done and the booths were dismantled, exhibitors were coaxed to "Kick Back" with an After Hours in the ballrooms.

We thank all our exhibitors and Expo sponsors, as well as Super Sponsors ALLIED WASTE, SUNRISE CHEVROLET, and WA MU. Special thanks to the committee and the Holiday Inn staff. Don't forget to follow up on all those valuable leads!!

More info will be soon be updated on the website located at: www.fivestarexpo.com
