OCTOBER CHAMBER LUNCHEON RECAP |
|
Our luncheon for October -- "Accelerated Networking" --
was a joint event with four other chambers at Bloomingdale
Golf Club. We had a wonderful group of busy networkers --
nearly 200! Some of them looked pretty tired when we were
done but we had a lot of positive feedback once again on this
type of luncheon
For a list of who attended and the chamber they were
representing, click link below.

BUSINESS AFTER HOURS - November 1st |
|
We will hold our November After Hours early, so we don't
conflict with any Thanksgiving plans of yours. On November
1st, the staff at Humanitarian Service Project (HSP) has invited
us to gather and network from 5:30 to 7:30pm. Food will be
graciously supplied by chamber member, Jimmy John's (of
Army Trail in CS) and all who attend are encouraged to bring a
NEW unwrapped toy. If you would like to hold a holiday food
drive in your office, why not talk to the HSP staff about this and
make it a Happy Holiday for many who are less fortunate?
The HSP is located at 465 Randy Road in Carol
Stream (north of North Avenue and west of Schmale). RSVP so
they can plan for us -- call (630) 665-3325 or email us.

WOMEN IN BUSINESS LUNCHEON - Nov. 2nd |
|
Do you say 'Thank you!' often enough? How do you show your
appreciation? What is appropriate? What is appreciated?
On Friday, November 2nd, members attending the
Women In Business Luncheon will hear speaker, Suzette
Horyza of Colorburst Images, a Professional Image and
Etiquette Training Consultant.
Thank you is a very
powerful statement that can actually change lives. Companies
and individuals can make a dramatic impact in the lives of
their customers and their success by reflecting gratitude. This
program is designed to demonstrate the importance of saying
thank you. Also it will discuss the simple steps it takes to write
an effective thank you note. Each participant will receive a
watercolor greeting card to send out to someone who deserves
appreciation.
This WIB luncheon will have limited
space and will be held at Caponata's, 100 N. Hale Street,
Wheaton. Julie Cannistra and her staff will prepare a meal that
will be delicioso! The luncheon time will be 11:30-1pm and
cost is $20 for members and $25 for visitors. RSVP today so
your seat will be reserved. Thank you!!!
