Greetings!

Thank you for taking the time to read this electronic newsletter! We want to update you on a few important events, some in April and some a little later.

Thank you to all who supported and won (and lost!) at the St. Patty's Day Reverse Raffle. With a new twist this year -- prizes for every other losing ticket-holder, and a plasma TV door prize -- this event was better than ever!

Kudos to the Membership Drive participants, especially "The Winners". Thanks to everyone's hard work, 42 new members are joining us! Welcome to those of you new members who are reading this right now!

The Business-Community Expo has generated a lot of interest already. This June 10 & 11th event is filling quickly, so if you want a spot, please submit the form to the Chamber office as soon as possible. An application can be found here:

Have a great April!

Business After Hours - April 20th

One of our monthly events where we gather and network is our Business After Hours.

April 20th, the monthly After Hours will be held at a local Irish pub, Shanahan's, owned by Carol Stream residents Tom and Nancy Shanahan.

Come by between 5:30 and 7:30pm and get to know your fellow Chamber members in a more casual setting. The Shanahans will provide some snacks and a cash bar is available. The pub is located on County Farm Road, just north of North Avenue in West Chicago, in the strip mall by Red Rooster.

RSVP and let us know if you'll be coming. Cost is $5 and don't forget to bring business cards!

Grand Opening - Cody's Food and Fun On Main

Stop by and wish our fellow Chamber members well at their GRAND OPENING of Cody's on Main.

Mary and Steve Ahart have transformed the former Nick's Charhouse/Gianni's on Schmale/Main Street, Wheaton into a 'jumping place'!

Come by after 4pm on Wednesday, April 5th, to Cody's at 2330 N. Main Street (just north of Geneva Road) for DRINKS ONLY on Wednesday. Food will be available beginning Friday, April 7th at lunch.

4th of July Parade Needs You

Each year on Independence Day, the 4th of July Committee, along with the help from the Village, residents and businesses, organizes and produces a parade for all to enjoy. It takes funding to provide floats and arrange the entertainment.

One of the ways the committee raises funds is through a Fundraiser which will be held on April 4th and 18th at Culver's, 290 S. Schmale, Carol Stream. If you dine or carry out food on those days between 10:30am and 8pm, and MENTION the 4th of July Parade, Culver's will donate 15% of your bill to help fund the parade.

Your business may want to sponsor or provide a float for the parade or march in the parade. To learn more about the parade route and to download forms to submit your parade entry, visit the link below. MC's of this year's parade on July 4th will be local residents, Bob Corey and Luanne Triolo.

We hope you will consider being a part of the parade and the Culver's fundraiser!
