We are happy to have been given the opportunity to now become one of the Veterans' Consortium on CAN TV 21 in Chicago, which will allow USVAP to host a 30-minute show every month, as opposed to just 4 times per year. Recent guests have been painter and Vietnam Veteran Konrad Hack, writer and English professor Tom Nowrocki, and US Marines veteran Iris Feliciano from the Warrior Writers Workshop. The upcoming guest in March will be Howard Sandroff, musician/veteran/composer from University of Chicago.
On CAN TV 19, USVAP also has five music/video programs being aired in rotation, which are also embedded on our usvap.org website.

USVAP at Jefferson Barracks in St. Louis. |
|

| | Carol at St. Louis VA Center |
Carol Williams traveled to St. Louis, MO, for an artistic Tools presentation at the VAMC Jefferson Barracks, for Veterans Day this past fall. The Recreation Department, headed by Dee Schreiner, hosted the concert in the main lobby of the Community Living Center, complete with refreshments, and USVAP donated a new guitar to the center. Already in place at the VAMC is another program called Guitars 4 Vets, which is an organization that offers music lessons to veterans. On hand to assist with our equipment was Glenda Cain, from the St. Louis chapter of Operation Homefront. After the concert, Carol was given the grand tour of their warehouse, complete with stacks of donated goods (including diapers!) that are distributed to military families in the Missouri area. Check out their website at: www.operationhomefront.net/missouri |
| USVAP to Dallas, TX, in March | |
Carol and Kimo will travel to Dallas, Texas, to perform and donate Artistic Tools to three different locations in the area: the Sam Rayburn Memorial Veterans Center, the Dallas VAMC, and also the Ft. Worth Outpatient Clinic (the largest in the VA system). We will be bringing a Cort Guitar, art supplies, and other tools to the Recreation Therapy and Volunteer Departments for people to use while they are there.
Our friend Julie Hanley (from Snowball Express, the American Airlines annual event) is co-ordinating the tour, and we will be playing several local venues while we are there. It's a long drive from Chicago to Dallas, but well worth it!

| The Coalition salutes Kimo |
In December, Kimo received an award from the organization Coalition to Salute Americas Heroes, as a token of appreciation to Kimo and his work with USVAP, which has supported them through fundraising concerts with the LTDB throughout the past six years. |
We have many other projects in the works, all with the mission in mind to "increase the representation of veterans in the arts community". Visit our website to see what we've been up to, and who has been with us on the journey!
We'd like to thank "Artist and Craftsman Supply" for their generous donation of art supplies: they have stores around the country, so please consider using them if you are in the market for fun things to do for yourself, or family projects. Check their website for locations near you: www.artistcraftsman.com
We hope to be in touch again soon!
