What is Natural Health Solutions and what do we do?

Medical science has developed a myriad of ways to micro manage the body in the quest to resolve various symptoms.  This is also known as the allopathic (conventional) medical approach.  While utilizing pharmaceuticals to overdrive the body's different systems can be appropriate in acute situations, it is, however, a shortsighted approach in addressing chronic, long-term challenges such as allergies, headaches, asthma, eczema, and even infertility.

An expensive exchange

Why shortsighted?  An expensive exchange can take place when drugs are used to suppress symptoms rather than address what is behind the symptoms.
As with any pharmaceutical, there are side effects that occur while actually taking the drug.  If the side effects list is longer than your symptoms, there is a safer approach.

What is a healthy approach?

Holistic practitioners take a different approach in helping clients who want better health that  won't involve an expensive trade-off such as forfeiting one's health down the road. To begin with, there is a philosophical view that the human body is indeed "fearfully and wonderfully made".  God designed the body with an innate intelligence; the human body given the right circumstances, knows how heal itself.

Along with this acknowledgement, holistic practitioners understand that no body system exists in a vacuum.  The blood and lymph system is one continuous medium that affects every tissue in the body.  Very minor fluctuations in inflammatory markers or inflammatory symptoms can have a huge impact on the body's ability to complete its cycle.

Where does the holistic practitioner begin?  With the basics: sleep, digestion, hydration, healthy nutrition, and stress levels.  This may seem too basic, but without a strong foundation, the body cannot complete its tasks.

Addressing the whole picture

The holistic practitioner will find where the body is imbalanced, where there is weakness within the body systems.  In order to address these challenges, the holistic practitioner must address the mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual aspect of the individual using a variety of holistic modalities.  Thus, by making the body as strong as possible, the individual can achieve true health.

Genetically Modified Food - Another reason to eat organic

Mike Adams with Natural News.com has created this video to educate you on what is really happening when you eat genetically modified food (GMO).   If you eat any product that has non-organic corn or wheat in it, most likely you are eating GMO produced food.  This will affect our health and the future of our children.

  More Uses of Coconut Oil

Eye cream - apply under the eyes to reduce puffiness, bags, and wrinkles. Use on the lids in the evening.

Diaper salve - because of no harsh chemicals, very comforting on a rashy bum.  Also safe for cloth diapers.

Bug Bites - when applied directly to a bug bite, coconut oil can stop the itching and burning sensation, as well as hasten the healing process.

Digestion - the saturated fats in coconut oil have anti-bacterial properties that help control parasitesand fungi that cause indigestion and other digestion related problems, such as irritable bowel syndrome.  The fat in coconut oil also aids in the absorption of vitamins, minerals, and amino acids, making you healthier all around.  May relieve acid reflux and indigestion when taken with each meal.

Cholesterol - improves the HDL ("good" cholesterol) to HDL ("bad" cholesterol) ratio in people with high cholesterol.

Insect repellent - mix coconut oil with peppermint oil extract and rub it all over exposed skin.  Keeps insects off better than anything with Deet! Tons safer too.

Polish Furniture - use coconut oil with a little bit of lemon juice to polish wood furniture.  However, I recommend you test it first on a very small, unobtrusive part of your furniture to make sure it works the way you'd like.

Lip Balm  - just rub a little onto lips and it not only acts as a softening agent but it also has an SPF of about 4, so you get a little protection!

AND OF COURSE:  Lubricant - it is an all natural, perfectly safe, personal lubricant.  Not compatible with latex!
