"As these key people have happened by, I've finally stopped asking why.

And accept each one with gratitude for their place in my lifetime.

For each sweet soul who crossed my path and gave so unselfishly.

My gift to you is the people I've touched as you reached out to me."

"Sometimes, if you are fortunate enough, a book will tap into your own stream of memories and touch the soul of your past. This is such a book.   C.L. Gillmore's story reminds us of our coming of age in the 60s  & 70s, by use of her heartfelt poetry and determined narration.   She offers us a bridge, an extension, from those unique days to our current ones powered by cyberspace.  It is a compelling tale of hope, faith, and friendship that remains forever.  I would like to see a movie made of this book. It would be a magnet at the box office. Audiences need a hopeful love story right now. " - Amazon January, 2011.

Poetry in Emotion

Gillmore has used the layers of her life experience to put into rhyme a blend of what it is like to love both in a romantic way and in a selfless way as a teacher of children with special needs. It is a nice companion book to her novel,

UNCOMMON BOND. I read both of them and highly recommend them especially to women who came of age during the late 1960s and early 1970s. She has captured the tone of her generation very well.

Mary L. Holden, editor and writer

Greetings!

August has been a busy, exciting and reflective month filled with planning, writing and memories. I will be speaking at my second book signing and local book club in September. I am working on my second novel and more poetry. A sequel? Time will tell!

My writing reflects the influences of both past and present. A new school year began and I lovingly remembered colleagues, parents and special little students. And I have deeply appreciated all of your comments as I continue to connect with so many of you through my website blog and Facebook pages. All of you have truly been inspirational for me...a gift!

Thank you for purchasing my books, for your kind words and for your continued support. I look forward to sharing my experiences with you along the way!

Sincerely,

C. L. Gillmore
