2011 Ended with several awesome catches!
On December 28th, Lisa King took the Top Wahoo category with a 77.6 pound catch aboard Jack Beal's
$ea Dollar$.
A 1000+ pound Black Marlin was released from Buddy Schultz' Gotcha while live baiting the Zane Gray reef in Panama.
Randy King's 6 year old grandson, Canaan King caught an incredible 66.4 pound Wahoo. He participated in doubles with both his Grandfather Randy as well as his Dad Collin. His little brother Colten, 4 years old, was also on the boat and landed a Wahoo and several Blackfin.
Congratulations to John Richardson and the crews of The Hooker and Picaflor for sweeping The Billfish Foundation's Pacific Black Marlin award categories. Captain Wade Richardson and the crew of The Hooker, mates Jilberto Cansari and Jonathan Lamastus, all HBGFC members, were named Top Release Captain and Crew, Pacific Black Marlin, 2011. Captain Adolfo Grajales and the crew of Picaflor, mates Ligorrio Sanapi and Ari Cordoba, also HBGFC members, were named Top Tagging Captain and Crew, Pacific Black Marlin, 2011. John Richardson was named Top Tagging Angler, Pacific Black Marlin, 2011. Congratulations guys!

International Division - As of 12/29/11 J.W. and Patricia Bones' boat "Mojo" is leading the Top Private Boat category with 46,500 points, Buddy Schultz is still leading the Top Male Angler category with 16,500 points with John Richardson in a close second place with 14,500 points. Patricia Bones is now leading the Top Female Angler category with 5,100 points.
Texas Division - As of 12/29/11, Brett Holden's Booby Trap is still leading the Top Private Boat category with 23,500 points, Brett is also leading the Top Male Angler category with 6,350 points. Sherry Potter is still leading the Top Female Angler category with 1,400 points, Shayne Ellis is still leading the Yellowfin Tuna category with a 164 pound catch with Michael Fitzpatrick in a close second with a 141 pound catch. Lisa King is now leading the Wahoo category with a 77.6 pound catch and Brett Holden is leading the Top Dolphin category with a 40.13 pound catch.
