The Club's Annual Fall Mixer was a huge success! Thank you to all of the Club's members and corporate sponsors who attended. We would like to extend a special thank you to Bealine Services, R&S Yacht Service, Texas Gulf Refrigeration, The Tarp Depot, and Force Specialty Services for their generous donations to the Fall Mixer!
The Billfish Foundation is launching a pilot study on the socio-economic benefits of billfishing in the US Gulf of Mexico. The Survey-based study will analyze two economic focus areas: 1) tracking billfishing-related expenditures and the way that funds filter through the economy, and 2) determining the nonmarket value of billfishing activities through evaluation of anglers' willingness to pay for the characteristics that drive their fishing preferences. We plan to e-mail the survey to our members later this year and would appreciate your participation in the very important study.
