"PHILANTHROCAPITALISM" is the name of a recently published book describing what we do at THC. With a subtitle of "How Giving Can Save The World," it discusses many of the top names in giving -- Gates, Buffet, Oprah, Rockefeller, Carnegie, and Annenberg. This book also illustrates the point that everyone can make a difference when they "help others, by helping them,help others!" One example is with a program like Crowdrise.
Arts: The Mellilo Brothers are paying it forward to others on their "Home Sweet Homes Coast to Coast Tour." They are on the road bringing their music to the public and teaching aspiring artists how to do the same!
Education: We believe there are models that, when worked synergistically with others, can be seeded into multiple environments. This will then create sustainable Spiritual, Physical, Social and Economic growth. THC's Resource & Research Center is designed to uncover such models, grow them, and foster alliances that unite strange bedfellows for the longterm!
VEZ: Greenback Street opens their doors to every viable business & customer to make a difference. Such an environment is "market conscious," "impact oriented," "driven by maximizing leverage" and offers innovative solutions to society's issues. |

The Bigger Picture
VEZ: Society is managed through a balance of the marketplace, charity and government. The Fund, Feed & Fix folks epitomize this with their e-Pantry model. THC Members are coming forward regularly with new special needs projects in education, medical, family issues and green housing to Fix! This is a one-stop model: Profit to the Family, Donations to Charity and Taxes to the Government creating businesses, jobs and supplying services.
Housing: Find someone's point of need, help them find solutions, build a plan, team and coaches. Sumter Foundation/Hope's Ellen Didion is working with CR Land Development to discover grants to build Green Homes for First Responders. Victories will begin to follow one another. Expectations will begin to rise. A passionate story will pull others to the cause! Groundswell happens. The cycle of appreciation has reversed the cycle of depreciation!! |

New Ideas -
Education - Define a goal, find the highest leverage approach, discover the best technology and the smartest merging of applications like Damascus Global who has engineered a revolutionary "Continuous Progress" IT educational model that reduces costs and increases effectiveness in the classroom. Similarly, Bill & Melinda Gates worked with their NYC experiment that broke schools into smaller units. They replaced the old three R's and factory environment with Rigor, Relevance & Relationship and scaled down environments. THC's aim is to join in and help craft a series of "one room schools" where the students pass forward as their education maturation evolves. The hope is that the student will develop a lifetime love for learning and become a "yes I can" person that will see the value in paying it forward.
Medical: Bring the ideas you're passionate about to the table like Gena Zishke and Tom Sweeny, PhD have with "CARE2U", a mobile medical service for cancer, cardiology, vascular, wound treatment etc. that "goes to the patient" and we'll fan the fire! Easter Seals will be able to add to the support and care. We'll combine our resources with your passion and build servant-leader models that will grow the global society like the ones mentioned above. |
