The Purple Crayon Center in the News
Did you see the feature about The Inc, our shared workspace for freelancers and entrepreneurs, in the Rivertowns Guide this week? Shared workspaces are taking off nationwide, and we're thrilled to be one of the front-runners of this revolution here in the Rivertowns.
Also- coming up, look for a piece about us in the Westchester County Business Journal, due out on June 13th!
We are loving the brand new photos showcasing The Inc. by local photographer, Leslie Kahan. Check it out:
A view from the conference room, through the glass walls to the permanent offices beyond.
Available for monthly lease, the permanent desks offer wireless internet, private phone lines, mailbox services, locked file cabinets, and priority conference room access.
The HotDesks, for hourly drop-in workspace when you need it.
The colorful kitchen, complete with family-style seating to encourage connection between community members.
Haven't seen The Inc. in person yet? Stop by for a tour, and while you're here, ask about a free trial membership.

So what IS that Draw Your Future thing, anyway?
DRAW YOUR FUTURE INFORMATION SESSIONS
Thursday, June 16th, 8pm
and
Tuesday, July 19th, 8pm
Have you been hearing about our middle and high school after school drop-in program, Draw Your Future, but are unsure what it really is or whether it would be a good fit for your teen? In addition to being The Purple Crayon Center's Executive Director, Sarah Silbert Hinawi holds a Masters of Education in Counseling from Boston University, and has helped design and grow a number of student-centered programs, including The Columbia University TeenScreen Program, LitWorld, and the College Board's college-planning curriculum, CollegeEd. Sarah is also currently Vice President of the Board of the Institute for Democratic Education in America.
Draw Your Future is a unique opportunity for kids in our area - both a safe, fun place to hang out after school, AND a program specifically designed to help them discover core truths about what's important to them and what they want for their futures. The results of this process are levels of satisfaction, inspiration, and commitment in their future plans that are unachievable through traditional school guidance counseling alone. Interested in learning more? This summer, we'll be hosting two information sessions about Draw Your Future for parents of young people about to start 7th-12th grade. Join us to have a glass of wine and tour the space, meet Sarah and the rest of our staff, learn how our philosophy translates into an actual program to benefit the kids, and get all of your questions answered. To RSVP for one of the information sessions, email us. We look forward to seeing you! If you can't make either of the dates above, or if you have any questions about Draw Your Future that you'd like answered right away, don't hesitate to be in touch: info@purplecrayoncenter.org
