The Falls

The Falls

Originally called Crown Falls because of the way the water roared over the rocks, the name was changed in the early 1900s after Mr.Nestor who was a logger that set up operations in the area. Nestor Falls was the final drop for logs being floated down from lakes upstream. Once the logs dropped over the falls in Sabaskong Bay they were taken to Kenora by tugboats. It is now one of the most photographed landmarks in the area and a popular place for fisherman to catch a variety of species of fish from perch to muskie.

Please be sure on your next trip to Shady Roost to request a tour of the Falls and other local landmarks.

We are proud to continue to offer our guests the most comprehensive vacation package with no hidden costs! Upon arriving in Nestor Falls, truly all you need to buy is your fishing license... we take care of the rest!
Sincerely,
