The Kids Take the Cake Update on our annual Cake Auction Fundraiser
 | | Toy Story Cake by Honey Bee Desserts | This year's annual fundraiser was a big hit. Over 100 people attended the Cake Auction and Benefit for Kids at the Reagan Ranch Center. With delicious cakes donated from Jeannine's Bakery - Montecito, Jane's restaurant, Beth Ruiz, baker, Melissa Wayne, Honey Bee Desserts, Savoy's Café, Fresco's Café, and Lazy Acres, the auction began. Rino Dattilo, pastor of South Coast Church was the Master of Ceremonies and Reed Jolley, pastor of SB Community Church, our auctioneer, made the evening fun and enjoyable for all who attended. The money raised that evening, over $10,000 will help support Good News Clubs for this school year. Special thank you to our Benefit Planning Committee - Sandee Beckers, chair, Kathy Keith, Betty Bagdasarian, Katie Clause, Barbara Biehl, and Dianne Davis. Another special thank you to Alina and Claire Raynor and Katie Burleson, Good News Clubbers who shared their GNC story with the night's attendees. |
What We Do Best Good News Clubs are Starting Again Good News Clubs are the foundation of what we do. Getting the Gospel to the kids is why we exist. This year we have already launched 11 Good News Clubs! Adams, Brandon, Canalino, El Camino, Ellwood, Foothill, Harding, Hollister, Kellogg, Vieja Valley and our preschool Club at I Love Learning. Two more clubs are planned for some time this year at Franklin and Aliso Elementary Schools. Since beginning this year, over 100 children have enrolled with new participants adding each week. This year, Good News Clubs will be learning about Moses and the 10 Commandments as well as the many miracles of Jesus and His death and resurrection.
