Google Apps Tip of the Month - Adding Other Calendars to your Google Calendar
Since going Google we thought it would be fun to share some tips using Google Apps. Being Texas Ranger fans we will show you how to add Other Calendars to your Google Calendar.
After logging into Google Apps from your brazosnet.com login site, click on the Calendar Tab at the top of he screen. On the left hand side margin of your calendar you will see My Calendars and then Other Calendars, click on the drop down arrow next to Other Calendars. Select Browse Interesting Calendars. Since we are adding a sports calendar select Sports. Next you will see several different sports leagues such as Major League Baseball, Asian Series - AS, Caribbean World Series - CWS, etc. Select Major League Baseball. After the Major League Baseball team listings appear scroll down until you see your favorite team or in this case the Texas Rangers. You can preview or subscribe to it. Given that we want it displayed on our calendar click Subscribe.
Click on the Return to Calendar link. Now you will see the Texas Rangers games highlighted and listed under our Other Calendars list.

Fiber Upgrades
Continue in 2012
Brazos Telephone construction crews are in full swing this summer completing a yearlong project of building fiber rings around all 10 communities served by Brazos. Currently Brazos crews can be seen working in the Jermyn Texas area completing that portion of the project.
What does fiber mean for Brazos customers.....more bandwidth. Traditional copper T-1's had a limited bandwidth speed of 1.5MB. Replacing those T-1's with fiber means the residents of Jermyn, TX and other Brazos communities inside the fiber ring will realize faster Internet speeds.
Additional bandwidth also provides Brazos customers with the ability for more online entertainment such as Neflix, and Hulu via their Xboxes, Wii's, Roku's iPad's, Kindle Fires and other Wi-Fi enabled devices. *The fiber ring also means more of our rural customers can experience the same fast Internet speeds as their in-town counterparts.
