Greetings!
Well, Summer is in full swing!! The weather is heating up, the store is getting busy and we're getting deliveries every day!! Some new styles for Chuck Norris, The Crow and Sixteen Candles just to name a few. And even a few new licenses like South Park, Thor, Dumb & Dumber and Bobby Brown. Check them out at shopretroactive.com.
It's been a year since the passing of TV icon Farrah Fawcette and the King of Pop Michael Jackson. They are both still remembered fondly by us here at Retro Active. For those of you reading this who are local to Myrtle Beach, get to the Palace Theater while you can, and see the tribute to Michael Jackson, Man In The Mirror!
Well, we managed to survive our road trip to Columbia, MD for the M3 Rock Festival! It was all worth it! The heat was monstrous but the music was OUTSTANDING!!! We discovered a great 3 piece band out of Brooklyn called ZO2.

Steve Whiteman and Kix were their normal CRAZY selves and put on another extremely entertaining show. Every other performer at M3 crammed themselves into the back stage area to catch the spectacle that is a live Kix show!! It was especially endearing for them being so close to home where they have a strong, dedicated following! One of the biggest and greatest surprises was Winger!
Kip sounds great and is a highly underrated musician! I was mesmerized by Vince Neil's drummer!! Absolutely amazing!! Nelson is still just as cute as can be and sound great!

Although towards the end of the day, it was harder and harder to get to the side stage and we missed a lot of Nelson and Warrant. Now, the big headliners...folks, the surgery was a success!! Tom Keifer and Cinderella are BACK!!! Wow!! They sounded phenomenal!!! This was my first time seeing The Scorpions, and my only disappointment was that they couldn't play a longer set, 'cause I didn't get to here "Big City Nights" or "No One Like You" among others. But they were AWESOME!! Even as Klauss was battling the flu! Unfortunately, I only managed to snap one picture of the Scorps before my camera battery completely died!! All in all, a great weekend, worth tolerating the heat and 7 1/2 hours in a car...each way!! Check out the photos in the column on the right.
I'd like to say a special thanks to Freak Show
Freak Show at Michael's Pub | for lending us their mic in between their stes at Michael's Pub in Columbia to give away a few T-shirts, and to Paulie Walnuts for snapping the coolest photo of our promo!!
