BLUE MOON FARM ***Sustainably Grown***
Madison County
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! We hope 2011 is a great one for all of you, and for the Lexington Farmers' Market!
Momentum in this country for locally grown foods continues to grow. Many of us who have been bringing you the fruits of our labors for a long time were beginning to think this day would never come! There is no comparison between shopping the farmers' market, talking to the growers, buying the freshest products you can get, and going to the big box grocers, where you can speak to someone in the produce section about a product and they don't know what it is, let alone where it comes from and when it was harvested!!
At this time of year, we are "shopping" the seed catalogs, trying to pick the best of old and new varieties of vegetables to offer you this season. Optimism is running high for the coming growing season. Now's the time to contact us, or any of the growers, if there's something you are interested in trying!
We still have our own "knock-your-socks-off" GARLIC POWDER available. Drop us an email if you're getting desperate! :-))
All our best to you for a happy, healthy, prosperous New Year!

"FRESH LOCAL HONEY" by NICK and BEV NICKELS
Fayette County
We have concluded our participation in the Lexington Farmer's Market for 2010. We would like to thank you for your patronage throughout 2010 at the Lexington Farmer's Market. You may still purchase honey, pollen, and/or beeswax candles from us anytime from our home at 1909 Nicholasville Road in Lexington until we return to the Lexington Farmer's Market in April of 2011. Call us first at 859 276-0258, and we will put what you want on our back porch for you to pick up. You may also call to make an appointment to look at Bev's candle selection. Out home is located one block north (toward downtown) of the intersection of Southland Drive and Nicholasville Road. Turn on Goodrich Avenue and take the first driveway on your right and you will be in our back yard. There will be a silver travel trailer (Airstream) under an awning directly in front of you. Your honey will be on the back porch. If we are not home, just leave the money on the counter. There is change in a small jar on the counter if you need some. Thank you, Nick & Bev Nickels
