Our featured article "Are You In Love" was written by the gifted author, Brian Ganges. Brian has us take a deeper look at what it really means to be in love.

Brian Ganges is a native New Jerseyan who resides in Texas. He has written many articles that are very thought provoking, principled, informative and insightful. His topics of interest include: current events, politics, health related topics, economics, relationships, and principles for daily living; which are always from a Christian worldview. He is one of the co-authors of the award-winning anthology "The Soul of a Man." Brian's new book entitled "Piecing The Puzzle Together," can be purchased at stores nationwide or contact Brian for a personalized copy at: brianganges.com .

Also, be sure to enter our "Book Giveaway Contest" to be one of the lucky winners to receive a free copy of his best selling books!
Are You In Love?
Brian Ganges - Author & Motivational Speaker
Author, Brian Ganges

Words are powerful instruments of communication. I liken words to spiritual and/or emotional containers, because they can be used as carriers of intangibles, such as: faith, anger, disgust, happiness, resentment, etc. At any given time, we can use words to express a specific emotion, thought, or sentiment in these containers.

Love can also be expressed, not just by words, but by actions, as well. But, what is "love"? It is a word that is tossed around so loosely today and with such a lack of care, that many times we tend to lose track of its true meaning. Love is a dominant theme in today's romantic music, certain television shows, courtship, religion, etc. So love is all around us. But we must be able to properly identify love, so that we can know when love is being demonstrated. When we see love in action or spoken verbally, we should know how to properly respond to it, as well. Again, I pose the question: What is "love"?

 I'M STILL HERE

One more sister to leave this earth
on a bad note never knowing her worth.
Slapping, hitting and knocking me down
How was I ever going to wear my crown?

Deserving of mercy wasn't yours to give
only a partner in love, my life was mine to live.
I met a man I thought I knew, he had so many secrets,
He withheld the truth.

He misled me with kindness, he kept me in the dark
he attacked my mind, my body, my soul and my heart.

He had me thinking that I was addicted to abuse
he had me thinking I really had no use.

Just like life, love is usually tested
prayer is the key, time must be invested.

During those times when I could not bare
You held me so close and saw every tear.

Thank you Lord for hearing my prayer
Thank you Lord cause I'm still here!

Words To Live By
The Ten Commandments of
How To Get Along With People

1. Always say less than you think. Cultivate a low persuasive voice. How you say it often counts more than what you say.

 2. Make promises sparingly and keep them faithfully, no matter what the cost.

3. Never let an opportunity pass to say a kind and encouraging word to or about somebody. Praise good work, regardless of who did it.

4. Be interested in others - their pursuits, their work, their homes and their families. Make merry with those who rejoice; with those who weep, mourn.  Let everyone you meet, however humble, feel that you regard him as a person of importance.

5. Be cheerful. Don't burden or depress those around you by dwelling on your aches, pains and small disappointments.
Remember, everyone is carrying some kind of burden

6. Keep an open mind. Discuss but don't argue.  It is a mark of a superior mind to be able to disagree without being disagreeable.

7. Let your virtues, if you have any, speak for themselves. Refuse to talk about the vices of others. Discourage gossip.  It is a waste of valuable time and can be destructive and hurtful.

8. Take into consideration the feelings of others.  Wit and humor at the expense of another is never worth the pain that may be inflicted.

 9. Pay no attention to ill-natured remarks about you.  Remember the person who carried the message may not be the most accurate reporter in the world. Simply live so that nobody will believe him/her. Disordered nerves and bad indigestion are a common cause of back-biting.

10. Don't be anxious about the credit due you. Do your best and be patient. Forget about yourself and let others "remember". Success is much sweeter that way.
