Greetings!
As you may know SCCAR is holding their annual elections and voting has begun. I am writing in regards to the President-Elect position. There are two great candidates running for this position, James Elcock and Cort Schneider. I have had the pleasure to work with both individuals and find them both exceedingly brilliant. I believe that Cort Schneider will be a great leader in the future but needs to serve more time not only at the local level but at MAR and NAR.
It is essential that the candidates have spent some time on all levels in order to serve you the member properly. For that reason I am endorsing James Elcock for that position.
I had the opportunity to work with James as he was creating the bylaws and policies for the new Commercial Division at SCCAR. In one year James has turned the Commercial Division into a great success with more members that anyone dreamed when it was created.
James has also been successful at our Missouri Association of REALTORS(R) (MAR), serving as a co-chair of a MAR committee in his first year as a director. As many know that is quite an accomplishment. James has also gotten the attention of NAR leadership by becoming a NAR accredited instructor and gave an incredible presentation at the NAR Board of Directors meetings in Washington DC in May.
Outside of real estate James is being recognized for his work for Kids against Hunger. James has recently become one of 10 finalists for the NAR Good Neighbor Award. Once again a great accomplishment as only 10 out of 1.2 million REALTORSŪ get recognized yearly for this award.
This position is not about how much real estate one sells or the type of real estate one sells. This is about leadership and the individual who is most qualified to run the business of the Association. James has served at all levels of REALTORŪ Associations and is the most eminently qualified to represent you the member.
A VOTE for James is a vote to ensure the best management of your Association.

Thank you. Karen Vennard SCCAR President 2009 |
